F-ESAM was a kind of test reg and used several times. With the modified landing gear, this aircraft became F-AIBR in 1926 with the Farman airline. IVL K.1 Kurki was a prototype for a four-seated, high-wing trainer aircraft, which was manufactured at Suomenlinna. The aircraft made its maiden flight on March 30th, 1927 with this the only one built. The aircraft was both over weight and too front heavy with correspondingly poor flight characteristics and so the Finnish Air Force only flew the aircraft for a total of 13 hours. After a long period of storage, and three years of restoration work, the aircraft was placed on display in May 2019.

On 19 September 2025 the last operational flight of a US Navy TH-57C was carried out by this helicopter. The flight was from NAS Whiting Field to NAS Pensacola where it was turned over to the National Naval Aviation Museum. It was put on display in the main museum building on 14 January 2026. All undergraduate helicopter flight training now uses the TH-73A Thrasher.
