This Texan is often quoted as the real 51360 (c/n 88-13627), but that airframe was still flying as warbird N694US at the time this photo was taken (it crashlanded at Heber City, UT on 16 Nov 2019). The real identity of the aircraft in this photo is not known.

In the late 1960s this Mitchell was one of several B-25s featuring in the movie "Catch-22", painted as "Blonde Bomber" and coded "6D". Following many years of storage at Chino, CA, it arrived at the museum in early 1982.

This Invader became N9421Z in the early 1960s, and it was acquired in 1969 by Mr. Burchinall for display in his Flying Tigers Air Museum in Paris, TX. In January 1978 it was registered to Milt Stollak as N6240D, but apparently he donated it to the March Field Air Museum almost immediately, as it arrived there three months later. By 1982 it had been painted in black USAF markings with its original serial, later named "Sweet Miss Lillian", then by 2005 "Midnight Endeavour". By 2008 it had reverted to "Sweet Miss Lillian" again, as seen here.

Built in 1975 and registered as CCCP-19736. Sold in the USA and became the second N22AN in Apr 1993 (the first N22AN was An-2TD c/n 1G142-35 in 1975). Soon abandoned in Mexico, but later salvaged and loaned to the March Field Air Museum, delivered 7 Oct 2000. It was repainted in these fake DOSAAF markings in 2004, but in 2013 they were replaced by much nicer but equally fake Polish Air Force markings. Registration N22AN was finally cancelled on 19 May 2015.

This 4-seat AEW version of the Skyraider spent many years (sinced 1976) at the EAA Museum at Oshkosh. By 1999 it had been discarded and stored in some far-away corner of the airport, where it was last seen in May 2005. Then on 11 May 2006 it arrived at the March Field Air Museum, where it was nicely restored and repainted. This aircraft is reportedly fitted with the tail of Bu132751.

In Oct 1982 this CH-21B Workhorse was registered to Mr. Kevin Wright (San Juan Capistrano, CA) as N6792. It was reportedly seized for drugs smuggling in Sep 1985, and it arrived at the museum about a year later. The helicopter was initially displayed in bare metal and blue as N6792, but by 2006 it had been repainted in these grey USAF markings, with its original serial. By 2015 it had again been repainted, now in olive drab USAF markings.

This rare Aero Commander arrived at the museum in 1988, in the US Army AVRADCOM markings it was last operated in. By the mid 1990s the museum had it repainted in fake and boring all-grey USAF markings, but fortunately they eventually saw the error of their ways and in 2008 it was restored in these original and very nice AVRADCOM markings.

Built for the USAAF as 42-72636, but immediately diverted to the Navy as Bu56514. Served with them until transferred to MASDC in Oct 1965. Remained stored there until Apr 1975, when it was sold on the civil market as N67062. The next year this DC-4 was converted to airtanker (with belly tank) and based at Avra Valley as Tanker 148. Withdrawn from use there in the early 1990s and stored. On 19 Jan 2002 it was flown from Avra Valley to March ARB on delivery to the museum. Between 2005 and 2008 it was slowly repainted in these markings.

Ex US Navy Bu44588 and later N9657. Was delivered to the museum on 1 May 1981. In the early 1990s it was still mostly white without markings, but by 2000 all paint had been removed. Circa 2008 it finally had insignia and serial 4588 applied, as seen here.

This C-119G is former RCAF 22122, which became N8091 in 1970. Acquired by Hawkins & Powers in January 1976 but not used and stored at Greybull, WY. Restored to flying condition in 1988 and flown to March AFB on 21 Sep 1988 on delivery to the museum. It's sad to see that more than 20 years later the aircraft is still unpainted. USAF insignia and fake serial "0-22122" were applied in the 1990s, but by 2007 they had been removed again.

This is actually USAF 64-15480, which was stored at MASDC on 26 Sep 1973 as HF019, and was officially transferred to the March Air Museum on 9 Apr 1980. It is painted up as 63-13143 (c/n 7003), which served with 22nd BW at March AFB since 5 Mar 1981, operating in support of worldwide USAF and DoD operations, e.g. in Chad and Grenada, until it became civil registered In Jan 1989 as N32281. The real 63-13143 was cancelled from the register on 13 Feb 2018, current status unclear.
