Re-activated in 1996 to develop the larger McDonnell Douglas C-17, the test aircraft suffered a catastrophic number one engine failure and made an emergency landing at Palmdale, CA on July 11, 1998. Evergreen Helicopters took delivery of it January 28, 1980 and was ferried via Shannon Ireland / Reykjavik , Iceland. Sold to Air Inuit, it returned to Canada as C-GBJE in 1985. While landing at Kangiqsujuaq Airport in northern Quebec during gusty winds, the pilot lost control and struck a ditch October 26, 1989. No injuries, but the aircraft was substantially damaged. Later moved to Springbank, AB, it was broken down for parts.

Delivered to United Airlines March 10, 1967, this 727 was one of three bought by Air Canada in 1979 for dedicated freight services. All three went to Interstate Airlines, N726PL first to arrive in September 1981. Interstate filed for bankruptcy in March 1987 and the freighter was taken over by Astar Air Cargo to operate for DHL. All three went to Interstate Airlines, N726PL first to arrive in September 1981. Interstate filed for bankruptcy in March 1987 and the freighter was taken over by Astar Air Cargo to operate for DHL. Later registered N706DH, it was sold to Transafrik International in 2000 and registered S9-BOE.
