From humble beginnings in 1976, the Pima Air and Space Museum opened with thirty-five aircraft brought over from MASDC, the adjacent the military storage area. In 1982, they opened their first hangar for indoor display. Pictured from that time is Seastar 144200, on loan from National Naval Aviation Museum, in the markings it wore when retired, including its MASDC inventory number 1T055.
