Overseas Aviation, without titles

Registered to British European Airways in 1950 then flew with Butler Air Transport as VH-BUJ from August 1957. Subsequently returned to the UK and restored to Dan-Air in November 1959. Scrapped at Lasham (EGHL) circa 1970.

Built in 1956 and initially registered G-ANBG until it was realized the last three 'NBG' was a common term for "No Bloody Good" in those days. Registration changed to G-APLL effective 19 March 1958. Later to BKS Air Transport and scrapped at Newcastle (EGNT) in September 1969.

Built in 1952 and originally named Clipper Plymouth Rock, but renamed as above after a period of being leased out. In 1967 it was converted to C-118A standard and flew with the Fuerza Aerea de Chile as 987. In 1992 it was acquired by Woods Air Fuel as N861TA and burnt out in a take-off crash from Nixon Fork Mine, AK on 2 January 1998. McIntyre labeled this as N6117C which it clearly is not. All I have to go on is 22C on the n/w door. Since N6522C and N7822C existed at the same time I compared names and since N7822C was Clipper Undaunted, I went with Clipper Hanover as its length fits that on the image better.

Built in 1958 for Aaxico Airlines and here in service with TCA. On 23 April 1965 it flew into a glacier on Mount Rainier/WA while at 10,000 feet.

Built in 1957 as SE-CCD for Scandinavian Airlines System and converted to freighter for Riddle in 1960. Operator name changed to Airlift International in 1963. Registration cancelled as expired on 13 May 2013, the aircraft having been scrapped many years before.

Freshly converted from Auster AOP.6 VF581 and in BEAGLE house livery with spats and extended exhaust. In National Museum of Scotland in 2021 marked as VF581.

This aircraft was delivered to New Zealand straight from the factory in 1945 (US serial 44-76981). It was used as an airliner with NZNAC from 1952 until 1961. In that year, it returned to the air force until its retirement in 1977. Note that this is not the aircraft that currently flies in these colours and with this serial as ZK-DAK! That one has c/n 26480/15305.

Used as a demonstrator for Beech. To N215W in 1969. Involded in an incident at Chicago (KORD) on January 24, 1979 when the aircraft collided with a snowbank during the landing rollout. The aircraft was repaired, but crashed on June 30, 1983. The crash site was higher and wooded terrain and according to the NTSB, VFR flight into IMC was the probably cause. Photo from: Beech

Very early F-4A pic! This aircraft crashed on 5 July 1964 in Maryland. Unknown location. Looks a bit like Le Bourget, but I could not find references to this aircraft having been present there in 1961.

Phantom number 22 was a test aircraft with VX-4. It was damaged beyond repair on 23 May 1970 at Kirtland AFB.
