G-AUHI was on the register from May 1928 until its crash at Golden Grove, South Australia on September 4 that year. Based In Queensland, it had been flown to Adelaide via Darwin by C.W.A. Scott, who later flew DH88 Comet G-ACSS Grovenor House to win the 1934 MacRobertson Trophy Air Race. The passenger was RAF Air Marshall Sir John Salmond. G-AUHI crashed in bad weather when leaving Adelaide. Scott was seriously injured and his engineer later died from his injuries.
