The caption at the library says 1925 however no reference to this accident can be found. Whim Creek, which now has a population of only five, had hundreds of residents in the 1920s because of a copper mine. G-AUEL was operated by West Australian Airways service on its long Perth to Broome service which stopped at Whim Creek.
