One of the most important aircraft in Australian aviation history, VH-UER was the first air ambulance. It graces the Australian $20 note along with a portrait of John Flynn, the founder of an air ambulance service in outback Queensland that evolved into the Royal Flying Doctor Service. -UER was sold in 1934 and wrecked when it ditched near Caloundra on December 8, 1935.
