I really like the civil exhibits in their correct historical looks. D-ANAF was delivered to Lufthansa in 1961 looking like this, the titles were updated around 1967. By january 1969 just 7 years after delivery it was taken out of service. It then became an instructional airframe for Lufthansa Technicians. First in Nora c/s then in several different Lufthansa c/s. I remember just being able to see it from the viewing area at Frankfurt in the early 90s. In 2012 it moved to the Museum at Speyer. Now it flies in close formation with the Lufthansa B747-200. They are the outdoor center piece here.

Delivered to Capital Airlines as N7442 in 1956. Merged into United Air Lines then returned to Vickers as G-ARUU in 1961. To the Empire Test Pilots School as XR802 in 1962. Last flight to Coventry for Shackleton Aviation in 1972. Used for parts and scrapped in 1973.

To Filair as 9Q-CKK in 1990 then to Trans Service Airlift in 1991, Scrapped at Kinshasa-Ndjili in 1994.

Delivered to NZNAC as ZK-BRE in 1959. To Air Caribbean as VP-LKA in 1975, Atlas Air System as VP-LAU in 1976 and Southern International Air Transport as G-CSZA in 1978. Broken up at Stansted in 1982. Forward fuselage to the fire school and expired around 1985.

Delivered in January 1972 ex-ZS-CDT. Operating the ex-Channel Airways routes to the Channel Islands from Southend. Withdrawn from use at Teesside in 1986 and fuselage used as a ground trainer. To North East Aircraft Museum in 2008. Scrapped in 2013, nose preserved at Brooklands Museum.

Operated by British Air Ferries. In basic Manx livery, not yet repainted following a lease from BAF to Manx in winter 1984/85. Previous registration G-AOYJ, reregistered in 1984.
