Operated by what was then the West Germany Air Force aircraft belongs to the FBS which was the WGAF VIP unit based at Cologne-Bonn airport. In 1985 Bonn was the capital of West Germany. Delivered new to the WGAF. Stored at Leipheim May 1993. Donated to Eritrea Apr 1994 as ER-IAAS it was corrected to E3-IAAS in Jul 1994 and delivered to Asmara Airlines. Reregistered E3-AAA Jul 1998 and believed to be still current in 2023.

First flight was in 1981, delivered new to Widerøes Flyveselskap as the 2nd Dash 7 on 4 May 1981. Returned to DeHavilland Canada as C-FYMK on 5 July 1996, and flew on as TG-JAY for AVCOM from 11 November 1996 until broken up some years later. Scanned from original slide, and as I shot the photo I was not aware of the Braathens vehicle coming fast from the right angle, so a bit lucky. My first photo of a Dash 7.

Photographed outside the old terminal at Schiphol - Ost. Later transferred to the Belgian register as OO-LCL but its present whereabouts is unknown.

From 57th FIS, based at Keflavik, Iceland. In the light grey livery used for interceptor Phantoms. Arriving for IAT on a very dull day.
