Assigned to No 7 Helicopter Squadron at Hingurakgoda. The 212 is receiving an overhaul before it returns to the sky. It is former Bell test registration N3189K and was most likely delivered to the Sri Lanka Air Force as CH-565 in 1985. It was reserialled to SUH-4102 around 2010 and again to the current SUH-565 by March 2012. On this right side of the helo, the SLAF titles at the cockpit door are written in english, while on the left side, the text is in local (Sinhalese or Tamil) language.

This An-32A was delivered to the Afghan Air Force on 23 November 1991, first assigned to the transport unit at Kabul within the Afghan Air Force. After overhaul in 2005, the aircraft returned to Kabul to the then Afghan National Army - Air Corps, Fixed Wing, on 6 January 2006. Moved to new homebase Kandahar in 2008, but returned to Kabul in that same year. Withdrawn from use in June 2011. Stored at Kabul, reported at active again in late 2022. Current fate?

Transferred from its original squadron HMLA-167 into HMM_365 reinforced, this Huey was eventually stricken on 3 March 2012 from US Marine Corps inventory. It was first stored at 309th AMARG from 1 December 2011 to 19 September 2013 and then moved to the US Customs and Border Patrol as as N7272N and based at Davis-Monthan AFB (AZ). It was deployed to Kandahar from late February up to November 2008. HMM-365/r prepared themselves from late March for a fierce battle, Operation Azada Woza, a fight against a Taliban stronghold in Garmsir.

ex Boeing test registration N37051,delivered to the RAF as HC1 on 20 January 1982 (with costruction number MA026), then converted to HC2 (with construction number M7005). Converted to HC4 by Vector Aerospace Ltd at Fleetlands in mid-2014 and eventually to cvtd to HC6A by Boeing at Boscombe Down in 2018.2019 timeframe. Redelivered as such on 8 May 2019. ZA714 was deployed in support of Operation Herrick to Kandahar and is seen here while landing. It's rotating door mounted M134 6 barrels minigun is pointing downwards. The gun has a high rate of fire, capable of 2,000-4,000 rpm of 7.62mm bullets

Once 10 red with the Soviet Air Force. It was first seen as such on 22 April 1993. Was seen at Sharjah with the same force but without markings in August 1998. Became TN-AFT with Hellier International in likely 1999. Sold to Savan Airlines as D2-FRT in January 2000. Became S9-CAQ, likely already with British Gulf and received the name Akula (shark) in late 2001. Incompany reregistered to EX-162 by November 2005. The became S9-SAM in mid-2007. Damaged at Sharjah during a landing incident which led to all An-12s being banned from UAE airspace. Withdrawn from use by mid-2009.

This Cobra is assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable). It was deployed to Kandahar from late February up to November 2008. The attack helicopter was assigned to HMM-365 reinforced from its original unt HMLA-167. They prepared themselves for Operation Azada Woza, a fight against a Taliban stronghold in Garmsir (Afghanistan) in May 2008. 165045 was stricken from USMC inventory on 7 December 2009, it possibly returned to Bell for modifications to AH-1Z Viper.

With a little dust storm on the background, this Black Hawk conducted a ground run. This H-60, assigned to B company of the 5th Battalion / 101st Aviation Regiment is normally based at Fort Campbell, (KY).

Arriving in a war zone, this giant was on a mission to drop Dutch freight and to pick-up a Dutch Chinook (serial D-103) as well as other freight for a return flight to Woensdrecht Logistic Center (the Netherlands).

This former US Army Huey (ex 74-22336) was registered to the US Department of State on 7 Dec 2006 as N82207 (not visibly carried), and was still current as such by 2023. The Department's aircraft can be used for many types of missions, which vary by location. These may include (armed) drug eradication, interdiction, reconnaissance, surveillance, command and control, medical evacuation, transportation of personnel or cargo.

Quickly increasing speed to decrease the chance to get hit by ground fire, ZD620 was delivered to 32 Sqn at Northolt on 24 Apr'83, it joined four other 125s for the transport of government officials and military personnel. Last flight on 25 Mar'15. ZD620 had accrued a total airframe time of 13,941 flight hours as it was ferried to Dunsfold. Sored up to mid-'15 and stripped by Hayward & Green Defence Ltd. The fuselage was then moved to the museum for display, at Bournemouth where it arrived in Oct'15.

Assigned to 9Regt during this deployment to Afghanistan. The helicopter gave mainly armed support to transport helicopters. The Lynx was first flown on 11 May 1979 and delivered as AH1 to the Army Air Corps on 4 July 1979. It was later converted to AH7. It was last reported as stored with Everett Aero at Sproughton (UK) in 2014. It is here seen at the AAC platform at Kandahar in the late afternoon.

Fomrer CCCP-72918 of the Soviet AF, manufactur date 30 Dec'87 and first noted operational on 9 Apr'91. Became RA-72918 in the Russian AF and offered for sale from mid-'91. Possibly sold to TransAviaService as 4L-VAS in Jun'05 or to Astral as EK-72101 in Apr'06. Became inventory of Sky with the latter registration in Mar'09.Eventually sold to South Airlines in late 2010. Was leased to Zaabu International and operated by the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo since Oct'12. Written off on 1 Nov'13 after an emergency landing at Kinshasa.

A giant leaving Kandahar. It's incredible that these huge and slow moving helicopters could survive in a high threat environment of Afghanistan. This Mi-26T was delivered to Rosvertol in Nov'92 and was transferred to Atruvera on 11 Jul'01. Moved to Vertikal-T in Mar'03, and then served the United Nations in DRC as UN-834 from Nov'05 to Jul'06. Returned to Vertikal-T in Feb'07 and was leased to DynCorp when it flew over Afghanistan up to late 2010. stored at Tver. Sold to Abakan Air on 3 Sep'20. Then became EX-06001 with MAK KG in Mar'23. Returned to Abakan Air in Jun'23.

First flown on 22 Apr'92 and delivered to the RAF on 2 Jun'92, and seen here during its high-speed take-off from Kandahar during Operation Herrick which supported ISAF. The Harrier was withdrawn fro use in Dec'10 and stored at homebase RAF Cottesmore. It was sold to the USA for spareparts fortheir AV-8B fleet. ZG862 was shipped to 309th AMARG in early '12 and stored up to Jul'23. Then moved to HVF West, Tucson (AZ) for scrap.
