The former F-BBDI of Air France became 5R-MAU with Air Madagascar in 11.65 then 5T-RIF with Air Mauritanie in 12.76. Prepared at Southend for a new career with Arax Airlines of Nigreria in 1.79, she is seen here after an emergency crash landing with wheels up after a test flight. The former G-ASJH is seen here after preparation for a new carrier in California, soon after the demise of Laker. Pacific Express intended to offer high frequency, low fare service in the LA-SFO corridor, but PSA objected as they used that name for their small package service. Flights were however operated to 22 cities in California and the Northwest, latterly as Pan Am Pacific Express, till bankruptcy in 2.84

Seen here taxiing out for its final display performance, the next day on departure homebound to Italy this prototype crashed in the sea near the Palm Deira after control loss, the pilots ejecting safely. The UAE Air Force was due to place an order for this light attack/advanced jet trainer, now being delivered to the Italian and Singapore AFs, but there was a dispute about spec and this event will surely make it even less likely. The PC-21 is now favoured in any case apparently

Lionair operated a series of Caribbean charters from Manchester and Gatwick in 1988/89 for Airtours with this ex-Pan Am 747 using the Orionair AOC and crews, along with LX-FCV. Not long before going out of business, Orionair operated a third 747 in 1989 (N751PA) but that quickly gained a notorious reputation for reliability on UK services. LX-GCV was originally N770PA and joined Corse Air as F-GKLJ in 6.91. Stored at Chateauroux and b/u by 2002
