March 21st 1974 HS-TGX for Thai. 1984 OY-SBK for Sterling Airways, 1986 transferred to Scanair. 1989 N794AL Trans Ocean Airways. Written off February 15th 1992 at Toledo, Ohio, in bad weather while operating for Burlington Air Express. In the 1980s, Stansted was a quiet airport with a small terminal. Its busiest spells were on summer Sunday evenings, when many Scandinavian charter flights arrived in quick succession.

Formerly LN-MOU, this Super Eight was acquired from SAS in 3.74 and operated with Thai for ten years, including leases to Icelandair and Air Algerie, then becoming OY-SBK with Sterling

Seen in the unfamiliar livery of Trans Ocean two years after my shot at the same place in Scanair colours. The aircraft joined Burlington in 7.90 as a freighter but crashed on approach to Toledo, OH in bad weather on 15.2.92 while performing a cargo flight from Seattle (TT 70,430h)
