It was written off after ditching in Lake Casa Blanca near Laredo airport 21 May 2002 whilst performing touch and go circuits following some maintenance work. Some accident reports incorrectly mention it as XB-JBR, but its remains were noted stored in a yard in Laredo, TX in October 2007, still in the same colours as in this photo, and still marked as XA-JBR.

I had it logged as Southwind Airlines. Went to Air Pony Express in Mar 2002. It was destroyed in an accident just after take-off from Fort Lauderdale Executive FL on 13 Jun 2005. Because of not being able to feather a failed engine the aircraft was unable to maintain altitude. The captain force landed it in a residential area on NE 56th Street. The 3 occupants survived.
