First flown 12 March 1991 and delivered to Lufthansa 28 March on a three year lease as D-ACBC. Returned to Braathens SAFE as LN-BRJ Braathens SAFE and became the most colourful 737 in the fleet as it was used as the airline's promotional platform the following years as Sommerflyet, Olympiaflyet (both in several versions), and Trondheim 1000 år. After a while in all-white, she was repainted in Braathens' Aurora Borealis colours during the summer of 1998. To Air Baltic as YL-BBB in November 2003. Returned to SAS Norge June 2007 as LN-BRJ. Retired in April 2011 and later parted out at Kemble. Seen here in the first winter version of the Olympic colours with the autographs of Norwegian winter Olympians on the nose.

Delivered to Braathens SAFE as LN-SUQ in June 1986, sold and leased back as N890FS in March 1989 as part of Braathens' fleet renewal. Retired by the airline in January 1993 pending sale to Japan Transocean. Seen here at Braathens Teknisk at Sola with all Braathens titles and registration removed. To JA8577 a few days later and delivered to Japan. Went on to serve with Mukamalah Aviation, N713A; Aviacsa, XA-ABC; and lastly LAM Mozambique, C9-BAO. Parted out at Gaborone by 2012.

Braathens SAFE sold and leased back its 737-200s as part of the fleet renewal in 1989 when the airline ordered 737-400s and -500s. LN-SUJ became N891FS still sporting the last letter of the registration on the nose wheel door. Note also the Olympiatoppen sticker by the door. Olympiatoppen is responsible for training Norway's elite athletes. Braathens was their sponsor in the late 1980s/early 1990s.

Delivered to Braathens SAFE in August 1979 as LN-SUB, sold and leased back as part of Braathens SAFE's fleet renewal in the early 1990s. Seen here landing at Røros the day after it was re-registered as N73FS. In November 1993 it went to Carnival, later tto Apple Vacations, TACA in November 1996, Aserca in December 2001 as N235TA before joining Nationwide as ZS-PIU. After Nationwide ceased operations in Aptil 2008 it was stored engineless at Johannesburg and scrapped in May 2012.

First flight March 6th 1969 as PH-ZAE, and delivered new as the 2nd of 5 ordered F.28s for Braathens SAFE, to replace F.27s in the fleet. 1972 it was named "Harald Hardråde". October 1986 I-TIBB Unifly Express. October 1987 I-TIBB Alinord. July 1990 wfu and stored at Dinard airport, France after 20 years of flying. Later broken up. October 1st 1986 I-TIAP Unifly Express. May 1988 I-TIAP Alinord (leased). November 1995 N37RT, December 1995 OB-1636 Aero Continente. 2006 Norsk Luftfartsmuseum bought the aircraft in Peru and brought it back home by sea. First flight April 14th 1969 a PH-SAF. Delivered new to Braathens SAFE April 29th 1969 as their third Fellowship. 1972 named "Sverre Sigurdsson". Photographed by my good friend Jan Olav Martinsen at Fornebu late summer 1972. On December 23rd 1972, LN-SUY was written of in a fatal accident on approach to FBU on a delayed shceduled flight from Aalesund due to fog, when it crashed in the woods close to Asker.

May 3rd 2013 wfu, stored at Hurn, UK, and broken up there in March 2017.

Put into service with "Sommerflyet" colours with the first flower decoration earlier shown in 1988 with N197JQ. September 1990 LN-BRD repaintd to standard BU colours, and given the name "Harald Gille". 1999 LN-BRD repaintd to the new blue BU livery, and winter 2002/03 repaintd to the final BU livery. LN-BRJ was the only B737-505 that never wore the complete Braathens SAFE livery, due to its use at Sommerfly, and Olympiafly and the jubille ot Trondheim 1000 years in 1997. In 1998 it was complete white before being repainted to the new blue Braathens livery. November 2003 YL-BB Air Baltic. April 10th 2004 returned to SAS Braathens inn all white colours. After the Trondheim LN-BRJ operated for Braathens SAFE in this neutralized liverey, with only text was the LN-BRJ and the name Olav Tryggvasson for 7 months before repainted to the blue Braathens colours as the first LN- reg Boeing 737-505.
