This image shows that the condition of this Friendship has further deteriorated since it was last photographed by AH.net colleagues. Unfortunately we all know where it will end ;-(

Recently cleaned up and relocated to a different location at the airport. It's now in a bit more remote location and the frame has been put with its nose into the prevailing wind direction. Coincidentally this also means that the light will be much better, especially in winter.

Very strong winds caused the frame to tip onto its tail. One of the very few moments that it will ever achieve a nose-up stance again.

Ex. PH-FFL, LN-SUE and SE-KZD. The frame was acquired by the airport in 2011 to serve as a fire trainer. However, real fire isn't used, since that would be a waste of the frame. Instead, it is used to practise tactics. Unfortunately the tail section was damaged in todays storm, as hurricane winds haunted the Netherlands and the UK. The tail section couldn't withstand >50kt gusts and almost broke off.

Delivered back to Fokker at Woensdrecht and sat there for many years. It ended up as a ground instruction airframe at Groningen-Eelde.

Enjoying a Scandinavian career all her active life, this Friendship was newly delivered to Norway in 3.64 in Braathens colours (memories of the Airfix kit when they changed it from Aer Lingus) and was transferred to Air-Executive during 11.75 in this modified livery. Later repainted in Busy Bee colours, she was sold to Air Nordic Swe in 6.93 as SE-KZD.
