Delivered to Alitalia as I-DIKZ in 1968. Reregistered as I-RIKZ in 1988. Sold as N286AW then to Aero Republica as HK-3928X in 1994. Withdrawn from use at Bogota by 2003. Scrapped in 2006. Front fuselage retained as a flight attendant trainer.

Second prototype A.310. First flew in 1982 as F-WZLI. To Air France as F-GEMF in 1986 then to KTHY as TC-JYK in 1994. Withdrawn from use at Istanbul in 2003 Still there in 2007. Later scrapped.

Unexpected meeting at Fornebu only a few months before it happened. Tower Air B747-100 N3603FF is on take-off roll rwy 24, while a TWA L-1011 TriStar has been pushed back from gate and will be next to follow for departure. I am sorry, I did not note which TriStar it was at that day.

The Oldest 747 I have seen, first flight February 18th 1970. Deliverd as teh 1st 747 to Lufthansa as D-ABYA February 18th 1970.. November 29th 1978 N610BN Braniff. October 1981 N480GX rr. Leased to VIASA July 1982 and to ONA MAy 1993 May 1984 N780T Transamerica. November 1985 N603FF Tower Air Tower Air was in fact the airlines that used this 747 for the longest period.. we were so srupized to see 747s at FBU, and this one is seen taxing for rwy 24 dparture, vai another ariport back to JFK due to the short rwy at FBU.

First flight april 3rd 1989 as F-WWDT at Toulouse. Delivered new to British Airways as G-BUSH June 19th 1989, and named "Isle of Jura". Repainted to the new BA colours in April 2001. Wfu January 2011 after 22 years flying for BA. Broken up at Lourde in 2013. Seen brand new taxing out for a rwy 24 departure back to LHR in July 1989.

Built 1974 as a Tu-154, later converted to Tu-154B standard. Operated until it was damaged when it ran off runway at Varna in May 1992. Balkan flew regular weekly flights from Varna to Gardemoen, but in 1989 GEN was closed for work on the runway surface, so Charter flights came to FBU from May 2nd to September 15th in 1989

Later PT-TEX, CS-TMZ, EC-IPS, D-AHIG, Z3-AAJ, N195AQ and XA-UQX. Seen taxing for a rwy 24 departure to LGW this thursday morning

The noth eastern apron at Fornebu, this was the oldest part of the airport where we usually after 1964 saw either old aircraft, or many General Aviation aircraft. This changed dramatically from May 2 1989 until September 114th 1989 due to the closure of the Charter flights to Gardermoen (ENGM / GEN) due to the need of new surface on the single runway at Gardermoen. So for five exicting months we could see as much as 7 large airliners at this part of FBU. This thurday morning, at left: sterlign 727 OY-SBI and Caravelle OY-STD, Balkan Tu154 LZ-BTD, right Tower 757 N603FF and new 737-400 LN-BRA

First flight at Renton May 21st 1989 and was deliverd new to Braathens SAFE June 7th 1989 named "Eirik Blodøks". LN-BRA was the first 734 to BU. May 1st 1999 OO-VEK Virgin Express. October 2000 OO-VEK leased to Ciry Bird for one year.. March 25th 2007 OO-VEK Brussels Airlines transferred.. June 28th 2012 wfu, ferried to Marana, USA, and broken up in 20013. Photographed the first day it was in service, waiting for first flight to Palma. From May 2n 1989 the old part of FBU was used for Charter flights due to Gardermoen was closed due to new rwy asfalt at GEN. Tower Air 747 N601BN seen behind.

Leased from the GPA Group May 89 still in the colours (including nose logo) of previous lessee Vacationair C-GVRD. Despite the colours this aircraft never flew with Air Europe. Returned to GPA Nov 89.
