One of several Sabre MK IV a/c in storage at San Pedro Sula in 1984. The First Tactical Group of the Honduran Air Force operated them, but by 1984 they had been replaced with the Cessna A-37B. This Sabre was operated by the RAF as XB697, transferred to the Yugoslavian AF as 11059, and in 1976 transferred to the Honduran AF.

This F-86K was built by Fiat for the German Luftwaffe, who sold it to Venezuela in 1966. In 1969 Honduras purchased five F-86Ks from Venezuela and operated them until 1980, but found them very expensive to maintain in airworthy condition. When I took this slide in 1984 there were at least two located at La Mesa Air Base at San Pedro Sula.

This F-86K was built under license by Fiat for the German Luftwaffe. In 1966 it was sold to the Venezuelan Air Force. In 1969 Honduras purchased 5 F-86K a/c from Venezuela and operated them until 1980. There were at least two at La Mesa when I took this slide in 1984. This aircraft was in fairly good condition and appeared capable of flight.

Only this Boeing 707 in Port of Calls fleet was an ex PanAm aircraft (all the others were ex American ones). The Travelclub's name was changed to Skyworld in 1986, and the aircraft left their fleet in 1990. It was later withdrawn at Mojave CA after service with Omega air.

Learjet 35A-418 was last seen in storage at San Fernando, Argentina, as LV-BPL. Obviously, the owner was sent to jail, and his Learjet has not flown for over 10 years.

Unfortunately this aircraft crashed at Kuito, Angola, on October 14, 1987.

This 1972 model S-61N, N3984C (ex-OY-HAO) was photographed at Montreal-Dorval on its ferry flight from Greenland to the USA. It became N223RA. Later flown by Trump Air, VIH Group & Cougar Helicopters (C-FTIG) and Air Amazonia (PR-HRU). It was retrieved from Brazil and is now flown by Helicarrier Inc. (C-FIZA) of Quebec on contracts in Canada, the US and Australia.

Originally built for the USAF with s/n 51-6598. At the time I took this slide the a/c was assigned to the 1st Tactical Group of the Honduran Air Force. At last report it was on display at the Honduran Air Museum at Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
