ZK-BHG had a long career. It was upgraded to a FU-24-950M in 1978. It became an engine test bed in 2000. It was fitted with a Ford V8 that initially drove the prop with a chain drive, later replaced by a gearbox. For a while it had twin main wheels. The next engine was a Walter M-601 turboprop before it was withdrawn from use in 2013 (registration cancelled in 2014).

Monique Agazarian's Island Air Services had the rights to Pleasure Flights at Heathrow's Ground enclosure in the mid 1950s. In addition to G-AFFB, G-AGJG, G-AGUF they hired G-AGZO from Marshall Flying Services. The Rapides would blast straight across the grass to the runway and slot into the traffic pattern at the Towers discretion. Note high tech security fence and BOAC white tail Constellation climbing from 28R.

Monique Agazarian's Island Air Services had the rights to Pleasure Flights at Heathrow's Ground enclosure in the mid 1950s. In addition to G-AFFB, G-AGJG, G-AGUF they hired G-AGZO from Marshall Flying Services. Designed by Luigi Pellarini, the Tanker was a predecessor of the Transavia Airtruk. The Tanker used an Armstrong Siddeley Cheetah engine and first flew in 1956 from Bankstown. It failed to win interest from cropdusting firms and the project was stopped. The PL7 was never certified or registered. It was damaged in a hangar fire and scrapped in 1962. Pellarini moved to New Zealand where he developed the Bennett Airtruck using T-6 parts before returning to Australia to design the Transavia Airtruk. Photo by Col Peck.

Sharing the old Heathrow Northside tarmac with BOAC white tail Canadair Argonauts, the SuperG was the last stretch Connie with the original wing design. One of these caused a few worried phone calls and got a mention in the London papers when it flew across SouthEast England trailing smoke from an engine oil leak, I saw it on final to Heathrow where it arrived safely.
