Although this unique aircraft flew again after restoration in April 2018, it was subsequently grounded on being moved to the Newark museum in August 2022. Built as a private venture multi-engine primary and intermediate trainer, RAF interest was limited due to the glut of aircraft available postwar. But in 1946 it was allocated to the Institute of Aviation Medicine, taking up the military serial in 1949. Converted as the R.S.4 Bobsleigh for prone pilot research, the RAE flew it 1951 - 1956 after which it reverted to civilian registration as G-AGOS with Film Aviation Services till wfu in 1973

This is the only surviving Monospar from the total production of 45. It was built at Hanworth in 1935 for New England Airways in Australia and registered as VH-UTH, flying there for 20 years with various companies. Flown back to Lympne and Biggin Hill in an epic 38-leg journey ending in September 1961 overcoming monsoon, sandstorms, war and revolt, by 1968 it was in derelict condition and stored. On becoming one of the first airframes to join the nascent Newark museum, a slow but so worthwhile restoration began, only completed in 2023

Another ex French AF machine transferred across from Sculthorpe after repossession by the US in 1978. After being displayed for many years with no serial, the false identity of 56-3008 was added fairly recently, along with (too small) 'LT' tail coding to represent a 48th TFW aircraft based at Lakenheath until 1971. It is actually F-100D 54-2223, latterly flown by the Armée de l'Air in sand camouflage as 42223

Recently put on show after restoration in original RCAF markings as operated at Medicine Hat, Alberta, this Harvard was built as 42-14217 but was delivered to the RAF in Canada in 1943, being transferred to the RCAF next year. Between 1949 and 1962 it operated as B-163 with the R Netherlands AF. After becoming increasingly derelict in storage, it was shipped to the UK in 1986 and was displayed at several places before ending up at Newark in 2010

First delivered as long ago as July 1946 to the Iraqi Petroleum Company as G-AHRI, this early Dove was sold as 4X-ARI to Avitur Airlines in 1957, reverting to its British registration with Brooklands Aviation in 1965. Wfu in 1972, by 1978 it had been loaned to the Lincolnshire Aviation Society and put on show at Tattershall. In 1989 it moved to the Newark museum and in the last couple of years has been repainted in these Israeli marks. A 1965 photo on Wiki of 4X-ARI at Coventry shows it in a far more interesting c/s complete with large titles

Ex G-APNJ. I first photographed this, the first Cessna twin to be registered in the UK, landing at Southend in 1970 (see my photo here). It was retired to the Newark museum after being withdrawn from use in 1983 and a few years ago was painted into this quasi "Blue Canoe" scheme, initially with serial '82127' and the British registration both on the tail
