This is the only surviving Monospar from the total production of 45. It was built at Hanworth in 1935 for New England Airways in Australia and registered as VH-UTH, flying there for 20 years with various companies. Flown back to Lympne and Biggin Hill in an epic 38-leg journey ending in September 1961 overcoming monsoon, sandstorms, war and revolt, by 1968 it was in derelict condition and stored. On becoming one of the first airframes to join the nascent Newark museum, a slow but so worthwhile restoration began, only completed in 2023

After many years this rare aircraft was finally(and deservedly so)restored in 2020.

With either New England Airways or Airlines of Australia. VH-UTH was sold in the UK in 1964 after being flown there in 1961.

VH-UTH was flown from Sydney to the UK by Dr John Morris in August-October 1961. The aircraft has since been preserved in the UK.

Delivered to New England Airways in 1935. It flew back to the UK in 120 flying hours in 1961. This rare type was later sadly neglected and by 2012 it was under long term restoration at the Newark Air Museum in the UK.
