This DC-4 was seized at Basel in 1962/1963, and illegally flown to Brussels on 14 June 1963 with fake registration N2894C, where it was seized again. It remained stored there until bought by Rudy Hannecaert in July 1967 and trucked to Geraardsbergen (Grammont), Belgium, with the intention of using it as a bar. The bar never opened and in May 1971 the aircraft was taken over by Armand Coessens, dismantled again and trucked from Geraardsbergen to the nearby airfield at Overboelare, for use as a clubhouse and bar for the local flying club. By 2001 it was no longer in use as such, but it remained there "preserved" in the appaling condition seen here, still as N2894C and with faded Trans Atlantic Airlines titles still visible.

Jaime Duque was an Avianca pilot who set up this amusement park just north of Bogota. It contains several aircraft, including this DC-4. It is painted as Avianca HK-136, but that may not be its true identity (HK-136 crashlanded in a field in 1981). Access to the airplane for fact checking is impossible as the airplane is a huge windvane, mounted on a pole.

Loongana on its belly after the crew failed to lower the undercarriage. On 15 Nov 1954 the pilots of the Sydney-Brisbane flight were practising a new landing drill. The co-pilot was flying the aircraft and the captain handling flaps and gear. Despite warning horns, the captain was certain he had extended the gear and ordered the co-pilot to land. No injuries. The captain, with 23,000 hours in his logbook, was forced to resign from ANA. After minor repairs, VH-ANF ferried to ANA's Melbourne base for final repairs. Built in August 1944 for the USAAF as C-54A 42-72267. Bought by Air France in October 1948 and operated until leased to Air Maroc in December 1953. From Air France 60 years ago.
