Preserved in the 45th Infantry Division Museum in Oklahoma City is this former US Army Navion. Its real serial is 47-1319.

Delivered to the US Army as L-17B 48-1046. Redesignated as a U-18B in 1962. Registered as N555U in 1969. To the museum by 1981 and repainted as 48-1046.

Not a great picture, but is shows CX-AJT painted to represent Navion 1903 of the Ministerio de Salud Publica (Ministry of Public Health) of Uruguay, which operated two of these between 1949 and 1966 as ambulance aircraft.

Anonymous Navion stored at I66. Unsure if this is a North American or Ryan-built example.

Built as a civil aircraft and registered NC8943H, it was one of 83 of the type bought from North American by the USAAF for use as liaison and staff transport aircraft and designated L-17A, and in this case allotted the serial 47-1312. It was later fitted with new brakes and fuel tanks by Schweizer Aircraft Corporation and re designated L-17C. Later civilianised as N6724C it had a number of accidents, and was most recently restored by lately deceased Milwaukee Police Sgt. Burton K Ottow whose name it still wears. It was being offered for sale at Oshkosh with the proceeds going to his estate.

Built as L-17B 48-1011 but civilianised as N8222E in 1959 and sale reported to Germany in July 2010, although no subsequent German registration could be traced. The registration N8222E was cancelled by the FAA in February 2013.
