On display in the outdoor display area at the museum. Several of the outdoor a/c were in the process of being repainted when I took this photo. Delivered new to the U.S. Army in 1948 with S/N 48-1046. Redesignated a U-18B in 1962. In November 1969 removed from active service and registered N555U. Operated by the MCAS Quantico Flying Club until circa 1977. Transferred to the museum around 1982, FAA registration cancelled in September 2012.

The owner of Navion N4294C says his aircraft was NASA 217 and has painted his aircraft to reflect that. NASA replaced NACA in 1958.
