The wreckage of G-ANMO. It collided in mid-air with Stampe SV.4C G-AYGR during a Barnstormers Display at Weston-super-Mare on 30th July 1972. Both aircraft crashed, but all aboard survived. Registration cancelled the same day as PWFU. Note that someone has already cut out the RAF roundel as a souvenir. Some parts to Paul Gliddon for spares, other parts to Ted Lay. Registration restored 27th January 1987 to Ted Lay. Hit trees and power lines on approach to the short runway at Headcorn on 26th August 2021 but will doubtless fly again.

Depicted at North Weald after arrival from Rochester for temporary duty as glider-tug for the Essex Gliding Club while repairs were completed to their usual tug aircraft, Super Cub G-ARAM, which was extensively damaged a few months earlier when it struck the fuel pumps at Stapleford. G-AOBX had arrived at North Weald in company with Beagle Terrier 2 G-ASAK, which acted as crew-ferry.

A17-716 being used to test the storpedoette, a small version World War 2 storpedo. An Australian invention, the storpedo used a small parachute to slow the descent of a canister designed to absorb shocks. It was cheaper than a conventional parachute but offering more protection than dropping with no chute at all. The storpedoette was for smaller aircraft than the storpedo required, in particular to deliver critical medical supplies accurately. A17-716 was sold in civil buyers in 1955.
