Originally with National and then Air Manila as a passenger aircraft, this Electra owes its colour scheme to the previous operator, Iscargo. While flying for TPI as N4465F on 14.7.90, made emergency landing at Aruba with no brakes, 10deg flaps and limited flight controls after two propellers separated and severely damaged the airframe. Broken up there a few months later

Beginning life as Jersey Airlines' "Duchess of Alderney" in 7.54, this Heron became part of the Morton Air Services fleet and in 1966 was leased to Sierra Leone Airways as 9L-LAI. Morton merged into British United in 1968 and the aircraft is seen here after acquisition by Executive Air Engineering. Served Peters Aviation for the rest of the 1970s but ended up with St Lucia Airways from 1980, the fuselage later being sunk as a diving wreck

Delivered ex-Kenn Borek Air from Canada via BHX to Nepal in 9.98. Were it not for the clouds which form over the mountains every morning, there would be a nice view of the magnificent Annapurna in the background of this shot

After a 14-year service life with 92 Sqn, this was one of a number of Lightnings which ended its days as a decoy at Wildenrath. A potent-looking line of Bloodhound missiles in the background

Screaming Darts were very much a feature of Jersey till the 1990s. Here, Hotel Mike shows off BAF's third livery applied to the Viscount fleet, complete with the revised titling. After being operated in the red Parcelforce colours, the aircraft became 3D-OHM in 8.99 but aborted t/o and veered off the runway at N'djamena, Chad on 24.7.01. Despite being written off, attempts were made to restore her for flight - until a soldier sleeping under the wing accidentally fired his gun and punctured a fuel tank

In 1985, Southwest bought out Muse Air, making it a subsidiary company and renaming it TranStar. The company was notable for banning smoking long before Federal regulations, but was never profitable and by mid-1987 operations were ceased. This MD went to Continental at that point and later became N93875. To Roswell, NM, 11.04 for storage and part-out
