Delivered to National Airlines as L-188A N5009K in 1959. To other operators from 1968. Converted to an L-188C in 1972 then to Air Manila International as PI-C1063 in 1973. Reregistered as RP-C1063 in 1974. Sold as N62AJ in 1978 and converted to an L-188C(F) freighter then to Iscargo as TF-ISC in 1979. To Eagle Air as TF-VLN in 1982. To CAM Air International as N4465F in 1983 who merged into Spirit of America Airlines in 1986 then to JBQ Aviation in 1989. Damaged beyond repair in an emergency landing at Aruba in 1990 and scrapped.

Scanned from original Fuji negative film, shot with an Instamatic camera, the first time I asked the CAA to come inside the airport to photograph a special aircraft, and they brought me to this place by car. ex N5009K, PI-C1063 / RP-C1063 as a L-188C flying pax, cvtd to CF as N62AJ in 1979, then to Iscargo as TF-ISJ and TF-VLN, later N4465F until damaged beyond econoimc repair at Aruba July 19th 1990, without any injuries to people.

Originally with National and then Air Manila as a passenger aircraft, this Electra owes its colour scheme to the previous operator, Iscargo. While flying for TPI as N4465F on 14.7.90, made emergency landing at Aruba with no brakes, 10deg flaps and limited flight controls after two propellers separated and severely damaged the airframe.
