In happier times undergoing maintenance at Kinloss. The aircraft was written off at the Canadian International Air Show in Toronto on 2 September 1995, tragically with the loss of all seven crew members.
Originally delivered to Delta in July 1969 this aircraft crashed into the Everglades (Florida) on 11 May 1996 due to an in-flight fire in the forward cargo compartment, shortly after take-off from Miami International while in service with ValuJet.
Vintage Airways was a Virgin affiliate which provided tourist sightseeing flights down the Florida Keys. Unfortunately this 1942-vintage beauty was destroyed by Hurricane Charley on 13.8.04. Sister ship N12RB fared rather better and these days flies in USAAF livery with the Cavanaugh Flight Museum
The former N5833 of Allegheny, this 580 was seized by the DEA in 10.91 while operated by JBQ Aviation but was eventually bought by Kelowna Flightcraft a couple of months after this shot. Broken up at Kelowna BC 11.97
On a rare visit to London and parked in the BA maintenance area. Built in 1981 and transferred to Aeroflot's Georgian directorate, the aircraft was noted in store at Tiblisi but was broken up in 2009 following use by Air Libya Tibesti till 2005
Originally 53-7804 and later used by NASA and Georgia Institute of Technology, this C-131 picked up the Honduran registration in late 1992 but remained stored. Becoming N145GT and damaged by a storm while at Gainesville, TX in 2006, she was ferried to Opa-locka in 8.08
