An order by BAF for the 146 was never forthcoming, despite this demo paint job, although they did short-term lease some 200s and a 300 later on. This, the fourth-built 146, was later re-registered by the RAF, Dan-Air, Merpati, National Jet Systems and Debonair, eventually being broken up at Adelaide in 5.09 after use by Qantas Airlink in 2001 and return to National Jet

This exotic machine was one of a pair of Y12s seen at Pokhara, performing services to Jomson in Nepal's Mustang kingdom, at 8,800ft known as one of the most dangerous airports in the world and therefore a flight-sim favourite. First served Aero Bengal as S2-AAR from 1998, moving to Nepal in 05.07 but since became B-3842 with China Flying Dragon Aviation. Has "Made in China" embossed proudly across the control yoke!

Still carrying the former US serial, she served Esc 55/801 in the SAR role from Son San Joan airbase, Palma de Majorca. A total of 28 HU-16s were operated by the Spanish from 1954 to 1978
