From the era when Singapore Airlines named their airplanes. The 747-300 with it's stretched upper deck was known as Big Top. Delivered March 20, 1987 and finally retired in January 1999, 9V-SKP was stored at Singapore. Bought by Dragonair in March 2001, the aircraft was converted to a freighter and flew until May 2008. The Heath Center Wing, developed from earlier mid-wing racing aircraft, was popular with those able to fly one. The aircraft was also available in simplified kit form pioneered by Heath. Unfortunately 1933 was the depths of the US Depression and only about six aircraft were built (plus an unknown number of kits).

Arriving at CP Air in 1975 with sister ship C-GCPA, the Empress of Los Angeles was sold to Dan Air in February 1983. With deregulation and the lifting of restrictions on transcontinental flights in place to protect government owned Air Canada, CP Air were concentrating on the Boeing 737 and more "hub and spoke" flights.

This 1948 Beaver, still pretty much in it's original configuration, was registered to Armstrong Air Charter Service when pictured. Originally with pioneer DHC-2 operator the Province of Ontario's Department of Lands and Forests (CF-OBV) the aircraft went to Air Dale in 1964. Ignace Airways flew it 1996 - 1999 before going to Armstrong Air. The classic bushplane is still current on the register with Sapawe Air since 2015 servicing Kashabowie Outposts in Northern Ontario.

A Convair 340 that was delivered to Pan American World Airways in May 1954, this aircraft would go to LACSA Costa Rica a year later. North Central Airlines would buy it in November 1960 and convert the airliner to a Convair 580 in 1968. Next to Gulf Air Transport in March 1986 before coming to Canada with Kelowna Flightcraft in November 1988. Pictured flying for Purolator Courier, it is still current at the time of uploading.

Wartime P-40 42-104977 was shot down over Lae, New Guinea September 13, 1943. Salvageable parts were recovered in 2005 and taken to Australia. Combined with many other P-40 parts, the fighter was restored and flew in 2008 as VH-MIK. After a landing gear collapse on August 1, 2009, the aircraft was repaired and converted to a two seat TP-40N. Sold to the USA as N977WH, the warbird is pictured taking a break from EAA Airventure 2019 at Fond du Lac giving warbird rides.

Built in 1965, this Riveria went first to the USA registered N916NS. I'm not sure how much flying it did after landing on a runway with the gear up in September 1967, but the aircraft came to Canada in 1977 and was extensively rebuilt by Viking Air at Victoria, BC airport. Owned by the same pilot until sold in 2002, it returned to the USA as N993DM where it is still current at the time of uploading.
