Preserved at Skokloster, northwest of Stockholm. Later removed for display at Karlsborg.

Ex-C-FGHL, CF-GHL, KG440, 42-92651. Written off 20-Jul-2000 at Nassau. The name on the tail dates back to its time with Air North as CF-GHL and reportedly means "Wandering Caribou" in one of Canada's indigenous languages.

Missing titles

Built as 42-93459 for the USAAF, to the RAF as KG614 in May 1944. To Argentina in December 1946 as LV-ACE with ZONDA and Aerolineas Aeroposta in January 1950. With Aerolineas Argentinas November 1950 - June 1966 and then to the Argentine AF as VR-14. Re serialled as T-104 in 1975 and withdrawn from service in December 1990.

Delivered to the USAAF as 41-18376 in 1942. Sold onto the civil register as N22421 in 1945 and exported to Avianca in Colombia in 1947 as C-122. Re-registered HK-122 in 1955 and later flew with El Venado and Aeronorte before joining Selva in 1980. Sold to Lineas Aereas El Dorado in 1995, with Aliansa by 1999 and finally Sadelca. Sold by them in 2011 and registered HK-122G, having survived 56 years operating in Colombia, she is believed to have been destroyed in Honduras in July 2011 at the end of a drug running flight.

Before being ferried to the USA this aircraft, which still carried its former Spanish Air Force serial T3-40 on the fin, was once briefly, (April 1978 - January 1980), registered G-BFPW and parked at Blackbushe. After service with a number of small operators in Florida it was parked at Fort Lauderdale in 1988 until being acquired by Basler of Oshkosh in May 1991, but after corrosion was found on the airframe it was parted out for spares the following year.

This former SAAF Dakota has a very interesting history. Delivered to the RNZAF's 40 Sqd as NZ3546 in June 1945 where it served until July 1952 when it was passed on to New Zealand National Airways as ZK-AWQ. Returned to the the RNZAF in April 1961 where it served until wftu in 1977. After a further two years on the NZ register as ZK-AWQ, it was sold to the Comores as D6-CAG as part the SAAF clandestine scheme to replenish its transport fleet circumventing UN imposed sanctions on the country. In the SAAF it served as 6863 before being converted to at Turbo Dak seen here during conversion at PRY
