The first of two Braemars, the second powered by substantially more powerful Liberty engines. Neither model went into production. C4296 was scrapped in 1920. The other, the Type 25, was lost in a takeoff crash. There was also one example of the Type 26 Pullman, a civil airliner based on the Type 25. Photo from: Library and Archives Canada

Twenty Kangaroos were built with about half becoming airliners after World War I. B9974 does not appear to have been of them. The pristine condition of the aircraft means the photo was probably taken at Brough which was the site of the Blackburn factory. This cannot be confirmed. Photo from: Library and Archives Canada

Sold in the US after the war ended. Canadian Aeroplanes was the government-owned former Curtiss factory at 1244 Dufferin Street. It is not clear if there was an airstrip at the factory. The factory occupied six acres and all photos of aircraft there were taken inside the building. Captions on those photos suggest the aircraft left the factory dismantled. The RFC had two training airfields a short distance to the factory. Library and Archives Canada
