Unit: 34 Sqn. The sun was barely over the horizon when this photo was taken of the RAAF's new Falcon 20, the first time this photographer had seen one. Business jets were a novelty in Australia because of import restrictions on aircraft weighing more than 12,500 pounds (5700kg) to protect the Two-Airline Policy. Qantas and the Department of Civil Aviation had the only civil business jets, both with HS125s, until July 1967 when approval was given to import Falcon 20 VH-BIZ. It would be over two years before another business jet was approved. A11-085 was sold in 1989 as VH-JSY.

This Dakota was rarely seen or photographed as it was tucked away inside the barracks on the far side of the field at Gatow. Originally delivered to the RAAF in Feb 1945 and flown over 11 days to Berlin to commemorate the Australian contribution to the Berlin airlift, arriving on 18 Jun 1980. Given the RAF serial ZD215 on arrival at Gütersloh after ferry flight from RAAF Butterworth (Malaysia) as until 1989 only British, French and American aircraft were guaranteed safe passage through the Berlin air corridor

A65-71 was delivered to the RAAF in 1945. It remained in operational service until 1980 when it was earmarked for the Australian War Memorial. The RAAF repainted it in its original wartime markings and over the next 17 years it made many air show appearances. A65-71 was flown to Canberra in August 1997 and placed in the museum's Treloar storage facility. The apparent civil registration is a wartime call sign only. A65-71 was never civil registered nor civil operated in its 42-year flying career.

A3-2 was one of two French built Mirages delivered to the RAAF. From the third aircraft they were built in Australia. No. 2 served with ARDU, the weapons and aircraft development unit. Calibrations on the fuselage in these contrasting marking allowed accurate measurements to be taken. A3-2 had the distinction of being the last RAAF Mirage to perform at an air show, at Richmond in October 1988. It was sold to Pakistan in 1990 and delivered by sea.
