F/F 3 May 1958. Delivered to BEA 16 May 1958 as 'RMA John Napier'. To Cambrian Airways 20 January 1971. To British Airways (BA) 31 July 1973 as part of corporate merger of Cambrian A/W into BA. To British Air Ferries (BAF) 7 April 1981. Leased to Air Algérie, Jersey Air Ferries & Virgin Atlantic on various dates in the period May 1981 to May 1989. Corporate name change of BAF to British World Airlines 1 April 1993 and reregistered G-PFBT 22 March 1994. Stored at Southend 2 March 1996 until sold to Heli-Jet Aviation 23 May 1997. To Lanseria June 1997 and stored there until scrapped April 2006.

It was ex Lebanese Air Transport. Intended for Pan American Indonesian Oil Co. and titles applied. The sale did not go through and it took up its original British markings of G-AMPZ. It flew with many British operators as such. Last with Air Service Berlin as D-CXXX and was written off in an emergency landing during a sightseeing tour 19 Jun 2010.

Ex 43-17170 (to USAAF 29 Sept.1944), XT-T-103, XT-100, N8344C, N4270, N100J. Registered to Trans-World Leasing as G-ARXJ 29 May 1962 and leased to Dan-Air 18 January 1965 to 11 November 1965. Cancelled from the UK Register 21 June 1967 upon sale to Panama as HP-451.

First flight at Belfast 3 Sep.1958. Entered service with Air Charter 1 Oct.1958, when it operated a trooping flight from Stansted to Christmas Island. Air Charter was eventually merged into British United Airways and nine days after this photo was taken, G-ANCE flew from Gatwick to Stansted on 18 Oct.1965 for ATL-99 freight door conversion by Aviation Traders, it being re-designated Britannia 307F. It was subsequently operated by Lloyd International and Monarch Airlnes until cancelled from the UK register on 21 May 1974, when it was acquired by Aer Turas as EI-BAA. It was scrapped May 1981.

Built 5th Sept.1944 as 42-72292 for USAAF. After various other civilian operators, Rhodesian Air Services acquired it as VP-YTY in January 1962. It eventually became TR-LNV with Affretair and was DBR when it crashed taking off from Uli airstrip, Nigeria on 28 June 1969 while taking part in the Biafran Airlift.

BA's subsidiary British Airtours only ever flew two 747s for short periods. Fairly new G-BDXL was with Airtours for the summer of 1984 only, while second-hand G-BMGS was in their fleet in 1986-'87.

Sold in 1969 to Arkia Israel for parts as 4X-AVB. With DC-6A OO-ABE (BIAS) and BAC One Eleven 320AZ G-AVBW (Laker).

Later re-serialled 130320 and designated CC-130E. Stored at Abbotsford since 2013 and later scrapped.

Later re-numbered 130319 and designated CC-130E. Stored at Abbotsford by 2017.

Ex N6248D. Became OO-MOL in 1969, and damaged beyond repair on 10 July 1970 at Moorsele, Belgium.

Became ER-ICJ in October 1998. Written off on 27 January 2004 in a take-off accident at Luena Airport, Angola.

Became MM61964/SM-23 with the Italian AF in August 1969. Withdrawn from use in 1975 and scrapped in 1980.
