This is not the Kirk Kerkorian owned Trans International Airlines (TIA), which came into existence in 1960. At the time of the photo N30047 was owned by Lee Aero Leasing which had bought it from United Air Lines. Soon after the photo it was sold in Canada as CF-HVL. Constructed as a C-54B-1-DC by Douglas at Chicago, IL. and delivered to USAAF in Nov 1944. Became a DC-4 for civilian market and served as NX86578, NC90451, later N90451, then CF-MCA, CF-NAA and to American Airlines as N20AA; Then to Air Centrafrique as TK-AAJ, TL-AAZ and finaly to Central Africa Air Force in 1973 as TL-KAW. Considered stored since in 1984 was still in flying conditions in 1987; Was scrapped in the 90's.
