Painted as 601, A-26B 422 is the only A-26B left in El Salvador. The real 601 was sold on the US civil market as N26VC with msn 7185.

One of the star exhibits of the Museo Nacional de Aviacion in Ilopango, San Salvador, El Salvador is this DC-6B, painted as 302.

ex 44-76906 ex N10801 delivered to El Salvador in August 1985, sent to Basler for conversion in 1988, delivered as BT-67 on 3 August 1990 and serving the Grupo de Transporte from Ilopango when this pictures was taken. It wsa damaged in a crash landing at Ilopango in April 2005, repaired but eventually retired by 2010.

ex 44-76950, KN628, and used as a VIP aircraft by British General Bernard Montgomery in WW2. Later to G-AOGZ, N4849, F-OGDZ, N4957W, and delivered to El Salvador in December 1984 as AC-47, sent away for conversion by Basler in 1988 and delivered as BT-67 on 31 August 1990. It was damaged in an incident 22 October 2019.

In open storage at Selkirk near the end of seven years service with Wrong Lake Airways Ltd (Thunderbird Lodge), Winnipeg ,Manitoba, and before joining Kississing Lake Lodge Ltd (Wings Over Kississing), Steinbach, Manitoba in 2001. Delivered new to Ontario Provincial Air Service as CF-OBR in 1947. From the 1950s until 1969, with Ontario Central Airlines, Kenora, Ontario. Registration finally cancelled in May 2010.

Passing the mouth of the Channel from Lake Spenard to Lake Hood. Delivered new to BC Airlines in 1954 as CF-HGX. Exported to Alaska from Gynn Bay Logging Ltd, Campbell River, BC, in 1989, becoming N727KA with Ketchum. Reregistered N836KA in 1994 and repainted in full Ketchum Air Service colours. Destroyed in a sadly fatal accident in September 2006 when operating with 20 Whiskey Mike LLC. While flying through a narrowing pass 32 miles east of Farewell Lake, Anchorage, in rapidly deteriorating weather conditions, impacted cloud covered mountainous terrain.

Newly repainted into Wranglers colours, this is the former G-BRED. Delivered 31 Dec 1964 to Flying Tiger Lines as N1001T. To Transmeridian Air Cargo on 13 Dec 1971 as G-AZKJ. To Redcoat on 07 Aug 1980 as G-BRED. Sold to Blue Bell Aviation Nov 1983 as N106BB and operated for Wranglers. To Wrangler Aviation Jun 1988. Renamed Tradewinds International Air Cargo on 01 May 1990. This was the last US CL-44 in service. Noted stored at GSO on 24 May 1994. To EL-AMC 18 Jun 1997. To 7Q-YMS 30 Jun 1997 for Professional Aviation Charter. To Congolese Air Force 24 Oct 1998 TN-AFP later TN-235. Stored.

Arriving on another inter-island shuttle. My brother and I flew on it the next day to Saint Thomas.

Delivered to Trans-Canada Air Lines as CF-TGN in April 1955, it served until September 1962 and then served with various corporate owners until acquired by Go in October 1979. When photographed it had recently been resprayed in this new colour scheme, and, according to the Vickers Viscount Network it was fitted with a new luxury 19-seat interior with video players and telephones. Although, (again according to VVN), it changed hands a couple of more times before it was scrapped in April 1993, I have been unable to find a photograph of it away from Tucson, or indeed with a full set of engines.

Still carrying the logo of previous operator North Star Air, although registered to MJM Air of Campbell River. Seen here departing past Tyee Spit. Built for the USAF as L-20A 52-6131. Became N1UW of Wisconsin State University in 1972, then N67091 of Gifford Aviation, Anchorage. In 1979, sustained substantial damage in a ground loop at Gold Creek, Alaska. Imported into Canada as C-GMGD in 1981 and completely rebuilt. Served well over a dozen different Canadian operators, including North Star Air of Pickle Lake, Ontario, from 1998 to 1999.
