Delivered in 1977 ex USN, retaining BuNo as part of serial. Withdrawn at Nowra in 1984 and prepared there for the Museum in 1987

Delivered to the RAN in February 1949, this C-47 was ex 42-92711 and served with 851 Sqdn, fitted out as a flying classroom to train Sea Venom and Gannet observers. The extended nose carried A117 and ASV radar. After 3181 hours accumulated, it was withdrawn from use in 1970 and allocated to the Museum in 1976

Swinging in after an evening touchdown on Lac La Ronge and heading to tie up for the night at its base dock in the town of La Ronge. Delivered new to the Province of Ontario in 1965, initially to the Department of Lands and Forests then to the Ministry of Natual Resources. Subsequently served with Latham Island Airways, Air Tindi, Northern Lights Air and Athabaska Airways. Registered to Transwest Air in 2001. Joined Polar Developments Ltd at Yellowknife, NWT, in 2013. Later repainted into a dark blue and orange scheme, fitted with a four bladed prop.

First flown in November 1961 it was delivered to BEA at Heathrow as V.953 Vanguard "Superb" on 13th December 1961. During 1970/71 it was converted as a V.953C Merchantman and re-delivered to BEA Cargo, (renamed British Airways Cargo on 1st April 1974), on 8th March 1971. Sold to Air Bridge Carriers, (Hunting Air Cargo from 1992), in November 1979, it was stored at East Midlands Airport until entering service in 1981. When retired in September 1996 it was the last airworthy Merchantman, and made its last flight on 17th October 1996 when it was donated to the Brooklands Museum by Hunting PLC.
