Delivered to the RAN in February 1949, this C-47 was ex 42-92711 and served with 851 Sqdn, fitted out as a flying classroom to train Sea Venom and Gannet observers. The extended nose carried A117 and ASV radar. After 3181 hours accumulated, it was withdrawn from use in 1970 and allocated to the Museum in 1976

Built as Ryan Navion c/n NAV4-382 NC91622 in 1946, N91622 after 1948. Rebuilt by Cameron Iron Works as a Camair 480 in 1956 and reregistered as N243. Current on the register with the Mid Atlantic Air Museum, Reading, PA in 2024.

The Camair Twin Navion was not a particularly successfull attempt to improve upon the well-liked, but slightly under-powered, Ryan navion. In the end only 33 examples were produced with this one on display at the super mid-Atlantic Air Museum.

Fitted with a Sea Venom radar in the nose and a retractable Fairey Gannet radar under the belly.

Was originally Ex USAAF 42-92711 and obtained by the RAAF as A65-43 in 1944. Transferred to RAN in 1964. The nose contains the radar from Sea Venom.

This is a rare aircraft type. The Camair 480 was a twin-engined conversion by Cameron Iron Works Inc of the North American Navion, which was built later by Ryan. This example was built in 1946 as a North American Navion, then converted to a Camair 480 in 1956.

N2-43 was used to train radar operators. It had Sea Venom radar fitted to the nose and at one stage, a Gannet radar in a radome projecting under the fuselage. Withdrawn from use in January 1970, it has been preserved at the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Nowra.
