VH-FKC wore all the Ansett liveries from 1970 to 1996. This was the final one. It was sold to Canada Regional as C-FFKC and delivered by air in April 1996. Never entered service and instead parted out. Mike Madden photo.

KLM had their own paint facility in Amsterdam, as a result the last few brand new MD-11 aircraft were delivered bare naked and painted after delivery. Also several cabin modifications were done after arrival in Amsterdam, including a special design crewrest bed, between the cockpit and door 1 left, called the sliding coffin. Engineers blurred for privacy reasons.

'SHADOW 725' is on short final to runway 29

This Combi 747 was delivered to Air Canada June 4, 1991. It's pictured pushing back with advertising touting the airline's soon to be launched Hong Kong service. That first service flight took place on December 20, 1995. This aircraft was parked in October 2004 and sold to Guggenheim Aviation Partners in December. Converted to BeDek Special Freighter, it has been leased out to various cargo airlines and is still current at the time of uploading.

Seems like an old friend as my database tells me I've shot this in five different places over the years, but these beasts always look great head-on. Built 9.77 for the AFL-Tyumen district and to Abakan around 1994; broken up at Zhukovsky around 2007

Towed to the gate some 30 months after delivery, "Al-Jahra" will look much the same even 20 years later.
