Traded in for series 1000 c/n 259022. Registered as 4W-ACM in 1982, G-BMYX in 1986. VH-LMP in 1987, N700CJ in 1992, N621S in 1993, EI-COV in 2002, N178WB then N803BF in 2003, N175MC in 2006 and N326TD in 2010. Crashed in Parque Nacional Sierra de Lacandon, Guatemala on an illegal drug running flight in 2020.

Built 1971 as a GR.1. Served with No's 1,3,4,& 233OCU. To Halton as 9073M. Now displayed at Coningsby in No.3 Sqd.markings by their dispersal area.

Built 1977. Served with No's 17,54,&14 Sqd's. To Halton 29th October 1986,to Coltishall 1992,then to Bruntingthorpe 1999.

This aircraft was damaged in a mid air collision with XX233 on March 23rd 2010 at Kastelli Air Base on Crete while the Red Arrows were on the annual Springhawk deployment. The two jets were the Synchro Pair and collided during an Opposition Barrel Roll. XX233 crashed onto the airfield and a damaged XX253 diverted to Heraklion with the rest of the team. XX253 was restored for static exhibition and is now displayed outside the teams hangar at Scampton.

Written off on November 17th 1998 when it crashed onto the airfield at Cranwell during the landing approach phase. The pilot ejected safely.

Delivered to Merpati as PK-MTZ on July 7th 1992.

This aircraft appeared in the 1951 film, Paris chante toujours !.(Paris still sings !).
