Sold in the USA in 2007 as N201TB

Florennes AB was initially constructed by the Germans as part of a defensive line of night fighter airfields to counter RAF night bomber raids. After WWII it was taken over by the Belgian AF and the first type based there was Spitfires. The very interesting, informative and friendly Musée Spitfire charts and preserves the history of the base.

This aircraft was sold in the USA in 2007 and is now registered N201TB

ex G-WWII. In 2002 it was sold to the UK again and returned as G-WWII before being shipped to the USA where it became N54SF.

17 Sq South East Asia Command (SEAC) markings, where 14 Sq flew Spitfire XIV between June 1945 and February 1948

Built by Vickers at Chattis Hill for RAF as SM832 but transferred to Indian AF. Disposed of as G-WWII and later N54SF. Restored airworthy and painted in South East Asia markings with that theatre's two-tone blue under-wing roundels and fin flash.

With such a big engine and prop the view ahead on the ground is very limited
