Helikopter Service and Ski- og Sjøflytjeneste joined forces in the mid-1970s forming Helikopter Service Ski-og Sjøflytjeneste basing the fixed wing fleet at Oslo-Fornebu.

Pictured with Intercal Air Cargo as ownership changed hands on July 8, 1982 to Soundair. The aircraft was registered in Canada 1976 - 1995 operating with over ten carriers. It went to the USA as N8930Q 1995 - 1996, subsequently exported to Kenya.

Pictured getting some avionics work, this JetRanger would join Okanagan Helicopters after Quasar closed down in 1986. The helicopter is current in the USA as N106AM with Jason's Helicopter Services providing aerial spraying in Minnesota, Oklahoma and Kansas.

Former Royal Canadian Air Force Canso 9757, CF-SAT was registered to Winnipeg based airline Transair circa 1956. Pictured with Car-Air Services, it was one of two aircraft used mainly for charters to remote fishing destinations. The aircraft was damaged near Maui, HI on April 14, 1986 when it hit a submerged reef during a water landing. The airframe was finished off during a rushed recovery attempt when it came apart during lifting while the fuselage was still partially flooded with water.

This Canadian built Harvard 4 was with the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1952 to 1967 with serial 20436. Sold in 1968 via Crown Assets Disposal Corporation to become CF-WWI. After a ten year stay in the USA (N436WL), the aircraft was registered C-FWLH in 2008 to the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association where it is current at the time of uploading.

Pictured on the flight line at McDonnell Douglas, this MD-82 would be delivered to Muse Air September 28, 1982. Started by former Southwest Airlines president Lamar Muse as a premium low fare carrier competing with Southwest. The carrier was bought by Southwest in 1985 and re-named TransStar Airlines to fly transcontinental flights. The airline shut down in 1987 and this aircraft went to Continental Airlines. Last with Aserca / SBA Airlines as YV348T, it was withdrawn and stored at Simón Bolívar International Airport in August 2013.

Hapag Loyds D-AHLD flew for Air Berlin (USA) as N5941W between March 1981 and April 1986. Than it reverted to D-AHLD.

This Astar was with Sealand Helicopters from 1981 until it was wrecked when it crashed into trees during an engine test at Goose Bay/NL on 31 October 1983. Deleted from the Canadian register in July 1988. Based in St. John's, Newfoundland , Sealand was a rare sight in British Columbia at this time. With other investors, Sealand's owner Craig Dobbin would form Canadian Holding Company and buy Okanagan Helicopters, Viking Helicopters and Toronto Helicopters in 1987 and merge them with Sealand to form CHC Helicopters.

Powell Air flew single engine aircraft and a couple of Piper Navajos when they were awarded a scheduled route between Powell River and Vancouver BC. They bought this Convair from Kelowna Flightcraft in 1981. The aircraft would leave their fleet in 1985 and go to the USA in 1987 as N204RA . Powell Air would merge with Air BC's Port Hardy operations in 1987 to form Pacific Coastal Airlines.

The very last Hansa Jet, built 1980. Eight of these ECM-versions were based at Lechfeld AB, one of them, 16+22, was unfortunately lost in a midair collision in November 1976. -The others flew their final sorties in 1995, thereafter they were ferried to Lancaster CA and broken up. Only 16+26 was saved and displayed in the Luftwaffenmuseum at Berlin-Gatow.

Short of exhibition space part of the museum's collection was stored outside at Erding Air Base.

Sold in Australia as VH-TFB.

This 1963 Caribou was originally with the Kuwait Air Force. Brought back to Canada in 1977, it's pictured with Kelowna Flightcraft, operating the freighter 1980 - 84. Air North and Kenn Borek Air later flew the aircraft before Newcal Aviation bought it in 1992, stored at Gimli, MB and slated for turbine conversion. Crash of the prototype turbine conversion in August 1992 saw it go to Air Tindi in 1993 before sold to the USA as N112CH in 1997. Based at New Smyrna Beach, FL with Vintage Props and Jets, the aircraft was damaged by high winds in 2001. It became derelict and was later broken up.

Delivered March 29, 1974, this 727 would be merged into Delta Airlines in April 1987. In May 2001, the airliner was sold to United Technologies Corporation and stored at Victorville, CA.

Assigned to 162 TFG / Arizona ANG. Stored to AMARC in 1988.
