Original caption reads: "CHAMPAGNE 125 Moet et Chandon are the latest European customer to take delivery of a 600 series HS 125 business jet. The aircraft, named Chateau de Saran after the headquarters of the famous champagne makers, was handed over shortly before Easter, and replaces the company's series 400 aircraft...". Further registrations G-BETV, G-SUFC, VP-BCN, N635PA, N128YT ending in White Industries infamous scrapyard at Bates City, MO.

Ca.1980: Otis Spunkmeyer Air, Oakland, CA and later re-registered the plane as N41HQ. 1994: Flew to Normandy, France, as part of the 50th anniversary of D-Day. 4/99: Next Century Aviation, Inc, Sausalito, CA. 4/16: Mid America Flight Museum.

In 1953 Buttonville Airport was a grass strip in the neighborhood of Buttonville in Markham, ON. When this photo was taken, the airport was still 10 km north of Toronto's city limits with two runways and a daytime control tower. Twenty years later it would be surrounded by the larger city's growth. Sold in 2009 for development, there were several eminent closure announcements made until the axe fell on November 30, 2023 when it was permanently closed and the tenants forced out. At the time of uploading, demolition of the facilities has begun to make way for an industrial development.

Taxiing for takeoff from Runway 31 on a test flight while being overhauled by Scottish Aviation Limited at Prestwick as part of the process of transfer from the Canadian Armed Forces to the Royal Norwegian Air Force. Joined the RCAF as 12755 in 1962, later becoming 104755 with the CAF. Entered Norwegian service in 1974 with 334 Squadron. Retired in 1983, stored, preserved, used as an educational resource and ultimately became a well presented static exhibit at Kjeller Aviation Museum.

Aer Lingus leased EI-ASH to Transair Canada on three occasions - for the winter seasons of 1973/4, 1974/5 and 1975/6. It received full Transair livery and, when it returned to Ireland for the summer, just had the Transair titles replaced with Aer Lingus ones. Photographer not known.

slide scan from the NK collection. - Fokker F-28 c/n 11004, originally built for LTU in 1968, came to ITAVIA in 1973 and stayed until 1984. In the late 90ies it flew its final services for Air Dabia in Gambia as C5-ADE; it was noted stored at Banjul in November 1999.

In 1968, Seneca College initiated an Aircraft Pilot Training program (soon re-named Aviation and Flight Technology) with a used Cessna 172 and a Piper Cherokee Arrow. To accommodate increasing demand for the program, the College took delivery of new Cessnas in 1973; three 172s, two Cardinal RGs, and two 310Qs. The fleet was replaced in 1991 by Beechcraft Bonanzas and Barons. After working for First Nations Air Service and Capital Airways, C-FKWE moved to the USA as N310BS where it's based in Florida at the time of uploading.

slide taken by Norbert Kröpfl. - Syrian Arab Airlines leased a pair of 707-436s from British Airways between 1974 and 1975. 1959-built G-APFB was the oldest example in the BOAC / British Airways fleet; after the Syrian lease it returned to British Airtours and was operated by them until 1979 before being withdrawn at Kingman AZ.

Revuechrome S21 slide scan. Built 1962 for Iberia, transferred to Aviaco 1973, withdrawn 1981. Sold as LX-III 1982, APSA OB-R-1259 1982, scrapped Lima 1991. Aviaco's initial brown colours were very dull for a holiday carrier and were replaced by a much brighter blue from the following year.

Wartime service with USAAF as 42-23509. Joined the Czechoslovak Government in 1946. Transferred from the Czechoslovakian Air Force to France's Armée de l'Air in 1960 as 23509. Bought in 1972 by Rousseau Aviation and registered F-WSGY. Sold in the US in 1974. Seen here as N18262 in transit through Prestwick to its new owners, the Aircraft Surplus Company of Tucson, AZ. Sold again in 1975, to Canada as C-GWIR. Moved from Northwest Territorial Airways to Buffalo Airways in 1994. Suffered an engine fire and crashlanded at Yellowknife, NWT in Aug 2013. Still there by 2016, reportedly awaiting repairs.
