from my collection, photographer unknown, aircraft started its life in 1942 in service as 41-7826 with the US Army Air Force; sold to LAI Linee Aeree Italiane as I-LENE in April 1947 and transferred to Alitalia Oct 1957; purchased by Ethiopian Airlines Feb 1965 and tragically crashed and w/o at Gondar Airport GDQ September 1972

Delivered to the USAAF in June, 1945 as 44-78495 and sold to Japan in January, 1955. Brought back to the States in 1978 as N54584 and has been in Alaska since. The hulk still exists in Fairbanks.

slide scan from the NK collection. - IFG Interregionalflug operated two Nord 262s and two Fokker 27s between 1967 and January 1974, when the small airline had to suspend all flights. I enjoyed the very first flight of my life on board of this Nord 262 on the schedule from Munich to Nuremberg. Glad to see, that this airframe survived - it was last seen as TG-JSG in storage at Guatemala City in 2020.

slide scan from the NK collection. - After a few years of operation with General Air in the early seventies, this Skyservant from 1969 was returned to Dornier and stored at Oberpfaffenhofen. It was obviously broken up there in the 80ies.

Original caption reads: "Skyvan 3M The military Skyvan, a tactical transport derived directly from the civil aircraft, can operate from unprepared strips while carrying 22 fully armed troops or 16 paratroopers or miltary equipment and vehicles. It can be rapidly converted to other roles such as casualty evacuation with 12 stretcher cases and attendants. The large rear cargo door can be opened in flight to allow rapid deployment of paratroopers or heavy supply loads. " Built 1970, retired 2006 and put on display at Oman Armed Forces Museum, Muscat.

Former mapping aircraft now stored. The slide gives 1970 as photo year. The aircraft was delivered to the Flygvapen museet (air force museum) at Malmslätt on 30 December 1970.

In 1970 Earl Faircloth ran for Governor, but lost the primaries.

Undated slide from FNG archive. Almost certainly comissioned by the airport company to document a busy traffic scene. By coincidence the image can be dated rather precisely by the visible One Elevens. While Caledonian dissapeared in the 1970 BUA merger, Dan Air took delivery of its first example in 1969 and BEA used the joint Air France livery on its Tempelhof services from 1969 to 1972. Almost all the building are still in use by 2022 albeit integrated in later extensions.
