Eastern Airlines DC-7 N836D was the first aircraft for Nomads Travel Club (1965 - 71) until replaced by a Lockheed Electra. It was bought by St. Paul Minnesota native Joe Kocour in 1972 to start Twentieth Century Traverl Club. The club never got off the ground, but the aircraft was well looked after for 32 years until sold 2003. Months of work allowed it to be ferried to Opa-locka Airport for major restoration, emerging in Eastern Airlines livery during 2008. After an engine failure leaving Charlotte, NC in 2011, the aircraft has been stored under the care of the Carolinas Aviation Museum.

By 1981 this former Panagra DC-7 served as the "DC-7 Steak House" on the southwest corner of Georgia Highway 49 and Interstate 75 near Byron, GA. Its tail plane and the wings outboard the #2 and #3 engines were removed, but otherwise it was complete and in good condition. The aircraft carried no registration or titles, but still had "700" on the nosewheel doors. The facility stayed open for a few years only, and by 1988 it had fallen in disuse and the aircraft had become a derelict. It was broken up a short while later.
