N761PA was an interim 707-300B that had JT3D turbofans while retaining the ventral fin from the earlier 707-300. Changes to the wing allowed the ventral fin to be removed and only a small number of the interim model were built. Pan Am and Air France were two airlines to receive them. N761PA was sold in the Philippines as RP-C7076 in 1977.

Qantas bought VH-EDC in 1961 from the Department of Civil Aviation, which had operated it as VH-CAR. Qantas was used it for crew training. -EDC was disposed of 1971 and passed through the hands of a string of operators which used it for cargo and passenger charter. It was on a passenger charter on April 14, 1994, when it ditched into Botany Bay immediately after take-off. All on board escaped before -EDC sunk in shallow water. It was deemed not worth repairing.
