Delivered new to KLM in February 1975. In December '92 over to ASA- African Safari Airways and re-registered 5Y-MBA in June 1998. wfu December 2001. Over to Africa One in April 2002.(5X-ONE).Left the fleet in 2003 for storage at Kemble. Scrapped June 2004.

This DC-10 was originally delivered to KLM in February 1975. Over the next number of years it had lease periods with Garuda (PH-DTL), Thai (HS-TGC) and Viasa (PH-DTL) before joining African Safari in December 1992. It is pictured taxying out for departure with another load of ecited holiday makers. In June 1998 it was re-registered 5Y-MBA and in February 2002 it joined africa One as 5X-ONE. The plane was ferried to Kemble (GBA) in January 2003 and scrapped the following year.

Delivered new 26th Feb 1975 and initially leased to Garuda as PH-DTL, on its return it was leased to Thai International as HS-TGC 18th May 1976-13th March 1977. Then operated by KLM till it went to Viasa on lease 17th Apr 1991, on its lease return it went to African Safari in Dec 1992 (still as PH-DTL) and was re-registered 5Y-MBA 23rd June 1998

African Safari DC-10 PH-DTL remained under maintenance with KLM. As such it was a regular for checks in the hangars at Schiphol-East.
