slide scan from the NK collection. - Lufthansa operated a total of eleven Convair 440's; D-ACEX is shown here in the final colour scheme shortly before being sold to Air Algerie. After conversion into a model -640 it flew in Algeria and later in Canada until the early 90ies. The last operator Time Air retired it at Springbank as C-GQCY, where it was broken up in 2005.
