Recorded as registered to Barons of Jacksonville Inc. at the time. Sold to Four Star Aviation Nov 87 and re-reg N136FS Jun 88. Written off by a serious cockpit fire whilst taxiing for take-off at San Juan (PR) 26 Apr 2009. According to one of the crew the fire began when flames suddenly burst out from behind the instrument panel. The cockpit area was completely destroyed. Two crew and two loaders evacuated safely. The Probable Cause was determined to be "worn electrical wires and a fuel pressure indicating system hose, which resulted in a fire". Lucky for those on it was still on the ground!

Ex USAAF 42-93251 and Air France F-BAXG. Operated by CNET as 13142 / F-SEBD since 1964, until transferred to Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis (AJBS) on 24 May 1980. In 1981 it was allocated registration F-BLOZ, but this was not taken up. A static exhibit at La Ferté-Alais since the mid 1980s, and used in the movie "Suivez Cet Avion" (with "Honeymoon Airways" titles) in 1989. Painted in USAAF markings In the 1990s with various fake serials, first 315111, then 315101 and finally as 313142. In 2015 a new restoration project was started for this aircraft, and it is seen here stripped of most paint.

It has since been acquired by Bush Air, but suffered a landing incident at Drift River Airport on Aug 1st, 2019, which caused some damage. The latest I heard is that it has been repaired.

Little did I know that 24 years later (in 2007) I would see and photograph it again at Hay River NWT working hard with Buffalo Airways. It was still operating in Oct 2019.

TAA operated in Papua New Guinea under the name Sunbird Services with its own livery and logo. The adoption of a new livery for the parent airline in 1969 saw that livery adopted in PNG with the addition of a PNG flag and the words "Airlines of Papua New Guinea".

Had previously been operated by Morton Air Services and here it has just been repainted in a smart livery for BUIA.
