Hiller introduced a three person cabin with the round bubble canopy in the UH-12C Raven model. Re-designated OH-23C in 1962. Kentucky National Guard Raven 56-2340 is pictured on a short stop at Bowman Field.

This UH-12B was purchased by the museum in October 1997. The Musée de l'air says it 'wears the colours' of 699, a UH-23B delivered in 1954 to the GH-1 Helicopter Group in Satory. It served there it until 1959 before being transferred to GALAT N°7. According to other sources it is really c/n 699.

Registered in 1957 to Airwork Helicopters at Redhill, so presumably here on lease to BUA. Cancelled in September 1966 as destroyed.

Built by Hiller as a 4-seat UH-12SL4, N9731C with a gyro-stabilized rotor. Sold new to Okanagan Helic. at CYVR in May 1966 as CF-UVC. Evergreen Helic. bought it in Jan. 1970 and resold it to Bill Brooks' Agro Copter Ltd. in Alberta. In Jan 1973 bought by M&B Helicopter Svc. (owned by W. Mignot in Oregon and Konrad Busch in BC). In 1976, it was converted from a Lycoming T1VO-540-2A2 piston to an Allison 250-C20 turbine using the Soloy Conversions' STC kit. John Edwards made the first turbine flight on June 29, 1976 at YVR. Exported to W. Mignot in Dec. 1976 & later exported to the UK as G-BTJE.

This type one of the relatively few exhibits at this super museum that was not operated by the German armed forces.

Built as a UH-12D in 1959. Converterted to four-seat UH-12E4 'Flying Station Wagon' with a stretched fuselage. The East Palo Alto factory site can be recognized from our overview photo.
